Gourmet Burgers

    3 cups cooked wild rice
    4 lbs lean ground beef

Combine wild rice and ground beef, mix well. Shape into 22 to 24 patties. Freeze in quantities to suit your family. Defrost before pan frying, boiling or grilling.

Seasoned Burgers: Add seasoned salt, minced onion, parsley or other seasoning before freezing.

Time Saving Hint: Cooking wild rice and freezing ahead of time turns wild rice into a convenience food! Drain well and store in air tight containers. Cooked wild rice (plain) will keep about 6 months in your freezer.
