Wild Egg Roll in a Bowl

2019 wild rice recipe contest finalist

    ½ cup diced sweet onion
    1 tbsp canola oil
    1 tsp each: minced garlic and grated ginger (or ginger paste)
    1 lb ground pork
    3 cups cooked wild rice
    2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
    5 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp plum sauce
    ¼ cup diced water chestnuts
    5 cups coleslaw mix
    1 cup each: shredded carrots and sliced mushrooms
    sliced green onions, garnish

In large skillet, sauté onion in oil. Add garlic, ginger, and pork; brown. Add remaining ingredients; heat through. Garnish.
