Firecracker Beef & Wild Rice Salad Bowl Emily Falke, Santa Barbara, CA 2024 wild rice recipe contest finalist ½ lb lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 tbsp canola oil
1 cup finely shredded red cabbage
2 green onions, finely sliced
1 small cucumber, chopped
1 carrot, julienned
4 radishes, thinly sliced
1 1/3 cups cooked wild rice
cilantro, toasted sesame seeds, and sriracha sauce, garnish
Dressing (whisk together):
1 tbsp each: soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar
2 tbsp each: sriracha sauce and brown sugar
In large skillet, brown beef, garlic, and chili flakes in oil. Stir in dressing; cook until beef caramelizes. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients. Garnish. 4 servingsRecipe compliments of the Minnesota Cultivated Wild Rice Council
